Beginning on April 21, 2024, the Brewers Association Mentorship and Professional Development Subcommittee will accept applications for the 2024 fall cohort of the Brewers Association Mentorship Program.

The 12-week virtual program provides mentoring from knowledgeable craft brewing industry leaders in three different tracks. The aspiring professional’s track is for those who have never worked in the industry and would like to enter it professionally. The advancing professional’s track is for those who have worked in the industry and are looking to advance or redirect their careers. The brewery start-up track will appeal to people intent on starting a brewery and who have taken tangible steps toward doing so or breweries that have operated for less than one year.

Former cohorts have included a number of members from the homebrew community looking to go pro. Camille Payne, book lover, homebrewer, and host of Brewzandbooks, appreciated the availability of mentors with so many backgrounds in beer, the chance to gain a diverse set of educational information and professional perspectives, and the opportunity to network. “I have gained more courage to continue in my pursuit to own a brewery.”

Applications for the Fall 2024 cohort will be accepted from April 21, 2024, through July 26, 2024.

The Fall 2024 cohort starts on September 9, 2024, and ends on December 1, 2024.

Homebrewers seeking more information or assistance with the application process should watch Hopportunity Knocks: Brewers Association Mentorship Program Information Session, a recorded webinar featuring members of the Mentorship and Professional Development Subcommittee, former program participants, and former mentors will be on hand to talk about their experiences in the program.
